Heads of emergency situations agencies of Central Asian countries will discuss issues of disaster risk reduction in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 30.03.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Regional meeting of the heads of agencies for emergency situations of the Central Asian countries on disaster risk reduction will be held on March 31 in Dushanbe. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press center of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The conference, which will be held as part of the implementation of the recommendations on the fulfillment “Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction for 2015-2030”, will be attended by the heads and representatives of ministries and departments responsible in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as by representatives of diplomatic corps, donor organizations and UN agencies.
“During the meeting, special attention will be paid to issues of regional cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction”, — said the source.
