Leader of the Nation made a working trip to Tursunzoda city
DUSHANBE, 21.03.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon arrived for a working trip to Tursunzoda city in order to attend the solemn events devoted to the International Navruz holiday.
This year’s republican Navruz festivity is being celebrated in Tursunzoda city.
Prior to festive celebrations, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon got familiar with the activities of a number of dehkan farms engaging vegetable growing and also took part in the launching of a subsurface drip irrigation on cotton planting, and commissioned a six-story residential building with a service center as well.
While on a working trip to Tursunzoda city, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon took part in festive event devoted to the International Navruz holiday.
The ceremony was attended by social activists, representatives of the intelligentsia, diplomatic corps accredited in Dushanbe, international organizations, guests from overseas, as well as residents of Tursunzoda.
In his address, President of the country Emomali Rahmon sincerely congratulated all the noble people of Tajikistan, compatriots living overseas on the occasion of Navruz — the holiday of nature awakening.
According to the Head of State Emomali Rahmon, Navruz holiday has a very longstanding history and it is the tradition of awakening and joy. Navruz has attained a wide social and practical importance during its 5000-year history and long way it has gone through. Given this humane and universal importance of Navruz, some years ago the UN GA adopted its Resolution on international status of this ancient holiday by the creative initiative of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and support of 190 UN member states.
In his address, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, stressed that it is very symbolic to celebrate the ancient Navruz holiday in Tursunzoda city, since its ancient people made a valuable input in sustainability of generosity, historical and cultural pillars of Navruz and preservation and continuation of the noblest national traditions.
The head of state Emomali Rahmon stated with certainty that the continuation of these noble traditions of our ancestors, in particular landscaping, establishment of orchards, cleaning our places of living, decorating streets and avenues and preparing town and villages is the best ever opportunity to improve the young people’s level of education, promote creative activities and healthy lifestyle, decent behavior, sense of national identity and future stability and flourishment of our beloved country.
In concluding of his address, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation once again extended his congratulations on the occasion of this Grand Holiday to all the noble people of Tajikistan,
The address was followed by a colorful cultural program and theatrical performance which was prepared by masters of culture.
