The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation,  President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon  chaired a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of  Tajikistan today.

The personnel matter was first considered in the session.  The new composition of the board of the Committee for Family and Women’s  Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was  approved.

The members of the Government approved and submitted for consideration to  Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan the drafts of a number of laws concerning the Draft  Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan » On making  amendments to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of  Tajikistan «On the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan», On the  Draft Law «On making addenda to the Administrative Offenses Code of  the Republic of Tajikistan”, On the Draft Law «On Advertising», On the  Draft Law «On making amendments to the Law of the Republic  of Tajikistan «On Natural Monopolies», On the Draft Law «On making  amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On  state registration of acts of civil status» and on the Draft Law of  the Republic of Tajikistan «On Road Traffic Safety».

The Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population,  Sumangul Taghozoda reported on the draft intergovernmental  agreement between Tajikistan and Qatar on regulation of manpower in  Qatar.   The Leader of the Nation pointed out that this agreement on  cooperation was agreed upon by heads of the two friendly and fraternal  states, this document would contribute to the further development and  expansion of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Qatar in areas  of mutual interest.

The government members, in particular, discussed draft regulations «On  the draft Protocol between the Customs Service under the Government of  the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Customs Committee of the  Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs  matters» that provides for information exchange, simplification  of customs procedures and exchange of experience, as well as  investigation and prevention of customs offenses.

Another draft regulation of the Government of Tajikistan concerning  the draft protocol on cooperation between the Customs Service under  the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Customs  Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on correlation of data of  customs statistics of mutual trade is aimed at the exchange of customs  statistics between countries, correct definition of the real state of  bilateral external trade turnover, prevention of smuggling of goods  and vehicles, analysis of the state of real economic development,  balance of payments, compliance with tax and customs legislation.

Besides, the meeting participants discussed issues addressing  Sectoral program on implementation of the National strategy to  combat drug trafficking in Tajikistan designed for 2013-2020, and  launching the single emergency number– “112.” of the Committee of  Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the  Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting participants also discussed issues addressing  implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Observing  National Traditions and Rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan» as well  as measures to prepare the national economy and the social sector for  the autumn-winter period of 2017 – 2018.

The President outlined the priority tasks for the members of the  Government, as well as Government bodies on measures to prepare the  national economy and the social sector for the autumn-winter period.   The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon also instructed the heads of  ministries, government bodies to expand beautification and spring  field works and strengthen measures to prevent natural hazards caused  by the weather.
