Trade-investment meeting to attract US investment and companies to Tajikistan held in Washington
DUSHANBE, 04.04.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On March 31, the Embassy of Tajikistan to the USA in cooperation with US-Tajikistan Business Council organized a trade-investment meeting on Business opportunities in Tajikistan to attract US investment and companies to the country. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the USA.
According to the source, representatives of US companies, such as “General Electric Company”, “Baker & McKenzie”, “AGCO Corporation”, as well as representatives of governmental agencies, such as US Department of State, Department of commerce, etc. participated at the event.
During his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the USA Farhod Salim informed participants about investment and business opportunities in Tajikistan. In addition, three strategic goals of the country, such as ensuring energy security, break in communication deadlock and providing food security were introduced to the US companies. It was noted that with the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon Consultative Council on improvement of investment climate in the country was established and functioning.
