Dilshod Nazarov won silver medal at the German World Championship
DUSHANBE, 02.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Known Tajik athlete and Olympic gold medalist Dilshod Nazarov, having thrown hammer to a distance of 77 meters 11 centimeters, won silver medal at the World Hammer Throw Championship that was held in the German Hallei city. It is the first competition, which he attended after Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
It should be noted that in this championship Polish athlete Pavel Fajdek with the result of 82 meters 31 centimeters won gold medal and Nick Miller of the UK with the result of 76 meters 81 centimeters – bronze.
We will recall that last year he, having thrown hammer to a distance of 78 meters 68 centimeters, became the gold medalist of the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He is the winner of the silver medal at the Beijing World Championship — 2015.
«This year’s main competition is the World Championship, which will be held on August 4 — 13 in London. I will represent Tajikistan. I will try to get medals. It is difficult to predict in sport, but I hope to be successful”, — said Dilshod Nazarov.
According to the results of this year’s competition in the top Dilshod Nazarov with 77.11 meters ranked ninth place. The first three places are ranked by Pawel Fajdek (Poland, 82.31m), Wojciech Nowicki (Poland, 78.54m) and Pavel Bareisha (Bulgaria, 78.04 m).
