Perspectives of Tajik-Turkish relations in the field of culture discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 23.06.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Tajikistan Ali Rifat Koksal here in Dushanbe on June 21.
According to the press centre of the given ministry, during the meeting the parties have discussed the issues of strengthening cultural ties between Tajikistan and Turkey, and the holding of a cultural forum in honor of Mavlono Jaloliddin Rumi.
Ali Rifat Koksal noted that within the framework of this anniversary event is planned the organization of concert program with the participation of Turkish dancers, an exhibition of paintings by the famous Turkish artist Darya Vara — the participant of the International Festival of Artists for Peace “The Pearl of the Great Silk Road”. The Ambassador also reported about the holding of a joint conference dedicated to the creative heritage of Jaloliddin Rumi, and the exhibition of Turkish dishes.
Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda having expressed his satisfaction with the proposals of Ambassador, noted the special veneration of the Tajik people by Jaloliddin Rumi and his rich artistic heritage.
“Every year on September 30, on the birthday of Mavlono Rumi, the Day of Jaloliddin Rumi is held in secondary schools, higher educational institutions and other institutions of the country. The immortal edification of the great poet-philosopher “Masnawi Manawi” is a table book in every Tajik home”, said Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda, and noted: “The holding of this cultural event will be another stimulus for the strengthening and developing of cultural ties between our countries”.
