Rustami Emomali approved action plan to implement the National Strategy for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 01.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. By his another decision the Chairman of Dushanbe city Rustami Emomali has approved the action plan “Field program for the Implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking in the city of Dushanbe for 2017-2020”. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Information and International Relations Department of the Executive body of state authority of Dushanbe city.
According to the decree, the relevant structures were instructed to take the necessary measures to implement this plan and on the results of work annually before December 1 report to the Chairman of Dushanbe city.
The adoption of the National Strategy for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2017-2020 is associated with increased transnational crime, as well as illicit drug substances trafficking, psychotropic substances and their precursors. The main aim of the Strategy is to significantly reduce the illegal distribution of narcotic drugs and their non-medical consumption, the magnitude of the consequences of their illicit trafficking for security of the health of population, society and the state.
