TAJIK ATHLETE MEHRUBON SANGINOV BECAME A WORLD BOXING CHAMPION!
DUSHANBE, 25.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. 21-year-old Tajik athlete Mehrubon Sanginov, having won a victory over American professional Stephen Derstein, became the world champion on WBB version. The fight on World Boxing Board version took place on July 22 in Charlotte (Carolina, USA).
The owner of this belt was the Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto, but this year the title of world champion on WBB version was vacant.

“Our fight was the main one in the evening show on July 22 in Charlotte, — Mehrubon said. — It consisted of 10 rounds. As you know, the title holder was Miguel Cotto, who in 2011 in a fight against Ricardo Mayorga became world champion. Before our fight, the title was vacant”.
The Tajik boxer is currently trained in Las Vegas in the hall of Floyd Mayweather. The training of Sanginov is led by senior Floyd Mayweather and personal trainer of the boxer Kazakh Sagatbek Musakhanov.
We will recall that Mehrubon Sanginov in the weight category of 76,2 kg in the previous rating fights won over boxers from Georgia, Latvia and Poland.
