Tajikistan and France intend to expand customs cooperation
DUSHANBE, 06.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The expansion of customs cooperation between Tajikistan and France was discussed yesterday, June 5, at the meeting of the Head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdufattoh Ghoib with the Ambassador of France to Tajikistan Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard.
According to the Customs Service press center, A. Ghoib noted that the Customs Service, using all resources and opportunities for strengthening customs cooperation, will create a base for the expansion of trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and France. It should be noted that the trade turnover between the Republic of Tajikistan and the French Republic amounted to $ 9.7 million in 2015, and this indicator increased by 34% last year, reaching $ 13 million. The commodity exchange between the two countries amounted to $ 2.1 million in the first five months of this year.
During the meeting the project of the construction of control and dispatch tower of Dushanbe International Airport has also been discussed. French Ambassador to Tajikistan Mrs. Yasmine Gouedard stated that will do all efforts within her competence to effectively establish bilateral cooperation.
