The number of drug crimes decreased in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 02.08.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The number of crimes related to illicit drug trafficking decreased in Tajikistan by 5.8% for 6 months of this year. It was stated today at press conference by Deputy Director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Samad Zafar.
According to him, for this period the DCA staff identified two drug dumps in Dushanbe. As Samad Zafar noted, according to both first and second facts, six persons were detained in total.
“Dens were kept by persons engaged in illegal drug trafficking. The criminal cases have been filed on these facts”, Samad Zafar added.
According to him, in the first half of the year agency’s staff identified 24 criminal groups, which included 61 people.
“Two of them are organized criminal groups”, said the deputy director of the anti-drug agency.
