DUSHANBE, 14.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The youth football team of Oman (U-16) on September 13 arrived in Dushanbe to take part in the Asian Championship-2018 qualifying tournament to be held in Hissar.

According to the press-service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the decisive stage of preparation for the tournament, the youth team of Oman decided to hold directly in Dushanbe, where it arrived a week before the start of the qualifying tournament. During the training camp, the Omani team plans to hold a control match with the reserve team of Dushanbe’s FC “Istiqlol”.

We will recall that the Asian Championship-2018 qualifying tournament among junior teams (U 16) in group “B” will be held on September 20 — 24. All matches will be held at the Hissar Central Stadium, which seats 20 thousand spectators. For the berth to the final part of the Asian Championship will fight the youth teams of Tajikistan, Syria, Oman, and Maldives.

The winners of 10 groups and 5 teams, ranked second in their groups with the best results, will advance to the final part of the Asian Championships to be held September 20 to October 7 next year in Malaysia.
