President Emomali Rahmon receives President and CEO of General Electric in Russia and CIS Ron Pollett
DUSHANBE, 21.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in New York held a meeting with Mr. Ronald Pollett, vice president of General Electric (GE), president & CEO for GE in Russia and CIS.
The two sides, satisfied with their second meeting, expressed their desire that Tajikistan and General Electric would maintain a permanent dialogue in the future in order to expand their ties.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of enhanced cooperation for the development of energy sector, including efficient use of water and energy resources in Tajikistan, attracting investors for the construction of hydroelectric power plants (HPP), rehabilitating existing power plants and power transmission lines.
A constructive exchange of views also took place on enhancing effectiveness of cooperation between Tajikistan and General Electric.
