Tajikistan and FAO to strengthen cooperation in promoting the implementation of the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028»
DUSHANBE, 20.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 19 in New York, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN GA the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov met with the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Jose Graziano da Silva.
According to the MFA Information Department, the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector, implementing specific programs aimed at strengthening food security in the country and other issues.
The two parties also exchanged views on ways to strengthen cooperation in promoting the implementation of the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028».
