Yuri Khachaturov: “Afghan problem is one of the main issues in the CSTO space”
DUSHANBE, 08.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Afghan problem is one of the main issues in the CSTO space. In this direction, the Member States of the Organization adopt joint collective measures. It was stated today in Dushanbe at a briefing after the meeting with the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon by the CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov.
According to him, during the meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the issue of preparing for the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council to be held on November 30 in Minsk was also discussed. Dozens of issues have been prepared and are under consideration for the CSTO Collective Security Council meeting.
“At the end of the meeting, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon wished me good luck in this responsible position”, — noted the new CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov.
We will recall that Yuri Khachaturov was appointed as a Secretary General of the CSTO on May 2, 2017.
