Korean delegation visited Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 02.10.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Nizomiddin Zohidi, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Korean delegation headed by Lim Sung Nam, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea on September 29 here in Dushanbe.
According to the MFA Information Department, topical issues of bilateral relations and interaction of Tajikistan with the Republic of Korea in the framework of international and regional organizations and forums were discussed.
The parties noted the importance of the outcome of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the Republic of Korea in April 2015 to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
It was noted the necessity to activate such an effective mechanism of cooperation as the Intergovernmental Tajik-Korean Commission on Trade and Economic Relations. It was noted that there is significant potential for the progressive development of traditionally friendly relations and the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The parties had also an exchange of views on topical issues of strengthening security and stability in the region and the world.
