Meeting of the CASA-1000 Project Intergovernmental Council held in Dubai
DUSHANBE, 04.10.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the CASA-1000 Project Intergovernmental Council with the participation of the energy ministers of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the World Bank, the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction, the Islamic Development Bank and USAID was held on October 1 in Dubai.
According to the MFA Information Department, at the meeting the delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the country Usmonali Usmonzoda. U. Usmonzoda, in his speech, called upon representatives of all countries to mobilize and ensure the commencement of commercial implementation of the project.
It was also noted that during the summit of the heads of state and government of the CASA-1000 Project, which took place in July this year in Tajikistan, the vector of action was defined and the task was assigned to the CASA-1000 Project Intergovernmental Council to accelerate the phase of the Project construction.
Following the meeting, a final document was signed, according to which the participating countries of the project approved a tender for the construction of the Project on the territory of Afghanistan.
