DUSHANBE, 29.11.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. A scientific and practical conference on the title “Issues of the implementation of new directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in conditions of international transformation” was held on November 28th, in Dushanbe on the initiative of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The conference was dedicated to the new Concept of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan and its role in the international arena, which was adopted on January 27th, 2015.
The Director of the Center for Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khudoberdi Kholiqnazar, his deputy Farida Muminova and other staff, consultant of the Information, Press and Analysis Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdughaffor Kamolov and media representatives participated at the conference.
Khudoberdi Kholiqnazar, spoke about the political situation in the world and the role of the Republic of Tajikistan in it and particularly noted that: “To date, all our efforts are aimed at ensuring the security, stability and peaceful atmosphere in the country, which is the main task stemming from the foreign policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
According to him, the foreign policy of the “open door”, which was chosen by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, indicates that we are on the right path in the current world conditions.
“While the world’s political actors are playing games in the geopolitical arena, we choose our path — the path of the diplomacy of peace and tolerance, accord and unity”, — Kh. Kholiqnazar said in conclusion.
