DUSHANBE, 29.12.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Football Federation of Tajikistan was recognized as the best sports federation of the country by the results of 2017.

According to the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan summed up the results of the year on December 26 in the cultural and entertainment complex “Kokhi Navruz” and named laureates in various categories in the field of youth and sports.

The best sports federation in 2017 was named the Football Federation of Tajikistan. The honorary award was awarded to FFT’s Vice-President Dilshod Juraev by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Olympic champion Dilshod Nazarov.

The central stadium of Hisor, which hosted four international football tournaments this year, as well as the AFC Cup-2017 final, won in nomination “Best Sports Facility of Tajikistan”.

The best athlete of the year was sambo athlete Behruz Khojazoda, who won gold medal at the World Championships in Sochi this year. Becoming the world champion, Khojazoda repeated the result of the known Tajik athlete Saidmumin Rahimov, who excelled at the Minsk World Sambo Championship on September 1975.

Dushanbe city has won in nomination “Best Sports City of Tajikistan”, as well as TV channel “Varzish” was recognized as the best sports media in the outgoing year.
