General Prosecutors of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan met in Tashkent
DUSHANBE, 08.02.2018 / NIAT “Khovar”/. The General Prosecutor of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon, as part of his working visit to Tashkent that taken place on February 6-7 at the invitation of the Uzbek side, met with the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Uzbekistan Otabek Murodov. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press center of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the republic.
According to the source, during the meeting the two parties have discussed the issues of bilateral legal cooperation, especially legal protection of citizens, legal support for entrepreneurship and elimination of illegal obstacles of its development, search and extradition of wanted persons, providing legal assistance on criminal cases, formation of joint investigative teams for studying transnational and cross-border criminal investigations, bilateral cooperation between prosecutors of provinces and border cities, combating terrorism and extremism, illegal drug trafficking and other issues.
It is reported that following the meeting there was signed an Agreement on interdepartmental cooperation.

Bobojonov and the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Komilov and discussed the issues of further cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan”, — says the message of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
