Tajikistan and the World Bank discussed positive trend of the main macroeconomic indicators
DUSHANBE, 09.02.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The positive trend of the main macroeconomic indicators, production of domestic and foreign competitive goods, free economic zones, and development of export and import-substituting was discussed yesterday, February 8 at the meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda with the World Bank Permanent Representative in the Republic of Tajikistan Jan-Peter Olters and delegation of the Bank for the development of the Economic Memorandum Gohar Gyulumyan and Begazo Gomez. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press centre of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the source, along with the issues of socio-economic development of the republic the parties have also discussed the implementation of the “Public Program for Promotion of Export and Import Substitution of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020” and the Program of adaptation of the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan related to the membership in the World Trade Organization.
Following the meeting the parties expressed satisfaction over the fruitful cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the World Bank, as well as expressed their willingness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
