The 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan was solemnly marked in Moscow
DUSHANBE, 23.02.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation on February 20 hosted a solemn reception on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Moscow, the event was attended by deputies of the State Duma, representatives of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, heads of diplomatic missions, military attaches of foreign countries and other representatives of the diplomatic corps, international and regional organizations accredited in Russia, as well as mass media from Tajikistan and Russia.
“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Imomuddin Sattorov in his welcoming speech noted that the 23rd February is annually marked with special warmth and triumph as the date of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan – the day of faithful defenders of the Fatherland”, – says the source.
It is reportedly said that Tajik Ambassador particularly stressed the historically important role of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in the creation and formation of the national army of the country.
It was also stressed that today the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, consisting of land and mobile troops, air forces and air defense forces, are the pride of our people and recognized as a reliable shield of the Motherland.
The participants were presented with a photo exhibition, which introduced the guests to the history and achievements of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan in the era of independence.
