Participation of Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the gala concert of the figures of art and culture of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan «Evening of Friendship»
DUSHANBE, 09.03.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended a gala concert «Evening of Friendship» in Kokhi Borbad.
The concert gathered here the Tajikistani and Uzbekistani figures of art and culture.
In his speech before the concert, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed his satisfaction and joy over the first state visit of the highly esteemed guest — the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the sunny and hospitable Tajikistan, and noted that this visit is an important and lasting step towards strengthening and expansion of good-neighborly relations.
It was noted that the relations of friendship between our peoples have deep historical roots and they should remain forever strong with a joint effort of our peoples.
In his speech, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev offered his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the Uzbekistani delegation.
In their address, the Heads of State also spoke about the importance of continuing the old tradition of friendship, brotherhood, good-neighborliness, expanding all-round cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both countries and regarded the joint concert of Tajik and Uzbek masters of arts as an excellent example of cultural cooperation.
The gala concert «Evening of Friendship» with its colorful program was held in the spirit of glorifying the friendship of the peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Following completion of the concert «Evening of Friendship», the heads of states of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan toured the Kokhi Navruz Palace and visited spacious halls beautifully decorated in national style.
