Delegation of Korea Forest Service (KFS) visited Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 05.04.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The delegation of Korea Forest Service (KFS) visited Tajikistan on March 30 to April 1, 2018 headed by Professor Son Yuan.
According to the Forestry Agency of Tajikistan, during the meeting both parties committed to further collaboration in the fields of forest.
The both sides meeting took place in the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on Forestry between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian nations. It will be noted that the MoU was signed on October 10, 2013 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, by the representatives of the Central Asian nations.
At the same time, the Forestry Service of the Republic of Korea requested that the forestry authorities of the Central Asian states to submit a new forest-based project (Concept Note or Project Proposal) to 30 September 2017.
According to the established order the Forestry Agency of Tajikistan for this period created a workforce and sent 10 projects on the priority areas of the forestry sector of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Korea Forest Service.
The Korea Forest Service (KFS) with its letter from January 19, 2018 reported that three projects have been adopted from the tens Projects that was presented by the Forestry Agency of Tajikistan. The Korea Forest Service requesting cooperation within the scope of these projects.
