Huge narcotics haul seized in Khorog, GBAO
DUSHANBE, 17.04.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. An operation carried out by officers from the Sate Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office for GBAO in the Pish Village of Shughnon district, GBAO province on April 13 led to the seizure of some 70 kilograms of narcotics, according to the CNS press center.
A totaled reportedly included more than 10 kilograms of heroin and some 60 kilograms of hashish.
The detainees were the members of an organized criminal group involved in trafficking illegal drugs from Afghanistan in exchange for 5,800 pieces of ecstasy tablets in order to sell some of them to drug addicts in the territory of Khorugh and to transfer the rest to the territory of other countries.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
