Tajik – Chinese foreign ministers discuss cooperation in Beijing
DUSHANBE, 26.04.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 24, 2018, Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov of Tajikistan in Beijing held talks with the State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi of China.
A statement by the Tajik MFA Information department indicated that Aslov and Wang Yi discussed current matters relating to bilateral relations between Tajikistan and China, as well as international and regional topics.
The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the progress of current bilateral cooperation of the Tajik – Chinese Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the political, economic and humanitarian.
It was noted that the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and the «One-Belt-One Way» Initiative making significant further progress in Tajik — Chinese relations.
The sides noted their readiness to further strengthen and deepen cooperation in the fields of politics and security, transportation, logistics and communications, agriculture, economy and trade, finance, technology, innovation, science and culture.
Meanwhile, China’s foreign ministry reports that China and Tajikistan are good neighbors sharing weal and woe, good friends enjoying sincerity and mutual trust, and good partners with win-win cooperation.
Last year, President Xi Jinping and President Emomali Rahmon elevated China-Tajikistan relations to comprehensive strategic partnership, which has opened a new chapter for bilateral relations. China stands ready to, together with Tajikistan, implement the consensus of leaders, intensify high-level exchanges, deepen practical cooperation under the «Belt and Road» framework, and build a community with a shared future – noted Wang Yi.
This year, China and Tajikistan will respectively hold the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers). Both sides should support and cooperate with each other to promote the process of the SCO for new progress and results.
Sirojiddin Aslov expressed that Tajikistan and China are close partners enjoying long-term good-neighborly and friendly relations. Tajikistan has always regarded the deepening of relations with China as the priority of its diplomacy.
The strategic guidance of leaders has firstly attributed to the high-level running of bilateral relations in recent years. Tajikistan hopes to, together with China, deeply integrate its national development strategies with the «Belt and Road» initiative, steadily advance cooperation in various fields, jointly crack down on the «three forces», and enhance coordination under the SCO framework, so as to effectively implement Tajikistan-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
