Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister attended OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka
The 45th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States under the theme «Islamic Values for Sustainable Peace, Solidarity and Development» took place in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on May 5-6.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin attended the session.
In his address Ismatullo Nasredin stressed that «OIC should play an efficient role in solving problems of the Islamic world.» Meanwhile, he drew the participants’ attention to issues related to strengthening cooperation in fight against terrorism and extremism, prevention of financing of terrorist and extremist groups and movements.
It was also noted that financial and economic support to the developing countries, as well as assistance to their efforts in improvement of social infrastructure and creation of new jobs may become the most effective measures to prevent youth from recruitment to extremist groups.
