Tajikistan and Pakistan are ready to cooperate in combating terrorism and extremism
DUSHANBE, 30.05.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Major General of Militia Abdurahmon Alamshozoda yesterday, May 29, met with the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan led by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistani Army, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, press centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country reports.
According to the source, during the meeting Abdurahmon Alamshozoda noted that the peoples of Tajikistan and Pakistan have a strong friendship and long-standing partnership. It was noted that the friendly relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan are strengthened by a strong legal basis consisting of more than 50 important documents.
Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the sincere welcome and added that the Pakistani side is interested to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the areas of mutual interest and is always ready to combat terrorism, extremism and other negative phenomena.
The parties also had an exchange of views on the issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in fight against terrorism and extremism, exchange of information and other transnational crimes.
