DUSHANBE, 22.06.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. More than 75 swimmers from 7 CIS countries — Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Turkmenistan – take part in the International Swimming Tournament, which started on June 21 in the swimming pool complex of the “20th anniversary of the independence of Tajikistan” in Khujand city of Sughd province. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Executive body of state authority of Sughd province.

According to the source, the tournament is organized by the Executive body of state authority of Sughd province together with the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Organizers hope that holding such prestigious swimming competitions will give a new impetus to the development and popularization of this sport both in the province and in the country as a whole, as well as strengthen friendly relations between the countries.

We will recall that the tournament will last until June 23 and swimmers of 7 countries will compete in all types of swimming — crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, swimming on the back, relay races (male and female), combined relay race.

The competitions will be judged by the judges of international category from all participating countries of the tournament.
