Tajikistan and ADB discussed promising social and economic development projects of the country
DUSHANBE, 04.06.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Karimzoda has met on the eve with the mission of the Asian Development Bank led by Alexander Julian, Economist of Public Administration Department, Financial Sector and Trade of the ADB’s Central and West Asian Department, the secretariat of the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan reports.
The sides discussed the preparation of a potential investment project in the financial sector, which the bank plans to support in the amount of $ 15.0 million on a grant basis.
ADB is considering providing technical assistance in the amount of $ 1.5 million in order to develop the project.
The parties expressed mutual commitment to holding new meetings with a view to detailed discussion of promising projects for the social and economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting was also attended by Muhammadi Boboev — ADB economist in Tajikistan and Firuza Dodomirzoyeva — ADB project assistant in Tajikistan.
