CNN: US Embassy in Dushanbe thanked President Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikstan for their expressions of sympathy to the victims’ families
DUSHANBE, 31.07.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Authorities in Tajikistan investigating the incident are considering «all possibilities», including terrorism and the possibility it was an accident, CNN reports citing Umarjoni Emomali, head of the press department at the Interior Ministry of Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, CNN reports that the US Embassy in Dushanbe posting a message on its Facebook page on Monday thanked the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the people of Tajikistan for their expressions of sympathy to the victims’ families.
“We strongly condemn the cruelty of the attackers and recognize that they in no way represent the kindness and hospitality of the Tajik people”, — the US Embassy’s massage said.
It should be noted that as a result of the injuries two US citizens — Austin Jay and Anne Munoutz, Dutch citizen Voke Ren Willem and Swiss citizen Hamel Marcus were killed, and the other two Swiss citizens — Kim Iris and Dimend Marie Claire — were injured and were taken in hospital. A French citizen Casabat Guillaume Gean was not injured.
An operational search group consisting of the staff of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Committee for National Security was created to investigate the incident.
