Condolences of the Tajiks Societies in Turkey and Egypt regarding the death and injury of foreign tourists in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 31.07.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The tragedy that occurred on July 29 on one of the main highways of the country and caused the death of foreign tourists, inflicted pain and sorrow in the hearts of all residents of Tajikistan and citizens of the republic, living and working in foreign countries. This terrifying case cannot leave anyone indifferent. In particular, NIAT “Khovar” received the messages of condolences of the Tajiks Societies in Turkey and Egypt, which read, in particular:
“The fact of the death of US, Swiss and Dutch citizens as a result of a vehicle running-down on a group of tourists – cyclists on one of the highways of the Republic of Tajikistan has caused boundless sorrow and regret for us, citizens of Tajikistan living in Turkey.
The Tajiks Society in Turkey expresses condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and wishes them patience and perseverance on behalf of Almighty.
We, Tajik citizens residing in Turkey, also express our gratitude to the relevant structures of the Republic of Tajikistan for the timely response and detention of suspects”.

“The news of tragic deaths and injuries of foreign tourists as a result of a vehicle running-down in Sebiston village community, Danghara district, Khatlon province, caused us, Tajiks living in Egypt, deep sorrow and anger.
The Tajiks Society in Egypt strongly condemns such inhuman acts of demon-like forces and once again emphasizes the need for urgent strengthening of an unswerving struggle against manifestations of all kinds of criminality at various levels.
As we know, on 29 July 2018 at 15:30 foreign tourists – cyclists consisting of seven people during the movement in Sebiston village community, Danghara district, Khatlon province, were run down by a vehicle.
As a result of this crime, three foreigners died at the scene, and one — in Danghara hospital. Three other citizens who received minor injuries are receiving medical and psychological assistance. On the instructions of the Head of State, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon all units of the security forces were involved in capturing criminals, and within four hours the first of them was already detained.
Tajiks living in Egypt express their deep condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured”.
