DUSHANBE, 23.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. In honor of the 27th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Badminton Federation of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan organize a badminton tournament for representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan and other international organizations.

As the general secretary of Badminton Federation of Tajikistan, master of sports Jonathan Linus told NIAT “Khovar” correspondent Nigorai FAZLIDDIN, the tournament will be held on the weekend — August 25-26 in the sports hall of the Dushanbe International Presidential School.

“Sport, in particular badminton, is probably one of the basic values of life that unites people, and State Independence is a great reason for such cohesion events for the benefit of the development of peoples’ friendship”, — Linus noted.

According to him, badminton can seem to be an easy and simple sport, until a person is completely carried away by it. In fact, this is one of the most difficult and, perhaps, the most useful sports that contributes not only to maintaining the body shape, increasing the level of human activity, but, of course, gives a positive mood.

“The participants of the planned tournament will be convinced of this”, — he added.

It should be noted that the Badminton Federation of Tajikistan will award winners of the tournament the certificates and medals with the image of Ismoil Somoni.
