DUSHANBE, 17.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Following Tajikistani – Uzbekistani talks, the two Presidents Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A package of twenty six intergovernmental and interagency cooperation documents was also signed in the presence of the heads of states Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

— Agreement on cooperation between the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan and the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan;

— MoU on cooperation between the Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan in the field of television and radio;

— Agreement on cooperation between the National Information Agency of Tajikistan «Khovar» and the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan «UzA»;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Executive Body of State Authority of Khatlon Province of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Khukumat of Surkhandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan on trade and economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Executive Body of State Authority of the Sughd Province of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Khukumat of the Samarkand Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan on trade and economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation;

— Agreement between the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan on scientific and technical cooperation;

— MoU on cooperation between the Committee of Religion, Regulation of National Traditions, Celebrations and Ceremonies under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee on Religious Affairs under the cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

— Agreement on cooperation in the field of plant quarantine between the Committee on Food Security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of culture and art and the Action Plan for 2018-2020;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of justice;

— MoU on cooperation between the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sport under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Central Council of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Civil Service Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the training of civil servants;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of geodesy, cartography, land management, cadastre and remote monitoring of land;

— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on military-technical cooperation;

— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on reciprocal recognition of state documents on education;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of professional development of teachers and retraining of workers in the field of education;

— Agreement on cooperation in assembling agricultural machinery between the State Unitary Enterprise «Korgokhi Moshinzosi» of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Joint stock holding company «O’zagrosanoatmashholding»;

— Protocol on the exchange of memorandums on the ratification of the treaty on certain sections of the state border of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan;

— Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on a counter offer of a land plot for the placement of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Tajikistan;

— Protocol on the introduction of an amendment to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on state border crossing points of February 12, 2002;

— Memorandum on cooperation between the Tajik Society of Friendship and Cultural Relations and the Committee of interethnic relations and friendly relations with foreign countries under the Cabinet of the Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

— Agreement on cooperation between the Agency of Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of Republic of Tajikistan  («Tajikstandart») and the Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification of Uzbekistan («Uzstandard»);

— Agreement between the Main Department of Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Committee of the Republic Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources for conducting prospecting and geological work on border areas;

— Memorandum on cooperation in the field of antimonopoly policy and consumer protection between the Antimonopoly Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition.

The two presidents also made press statements.
