Tajikistan’s news agency “Khovar” and Pakistani Center for Global and Strategic Studies will sign cooperation agreement
DUSHANBE, 27.08.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Saidali Siddiq, Director of the National Information Agency of Tajikistan /NIAT/ “Khovar”, on August 27 met with Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, President of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies /CGSS/ of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan here in Dushanbe.
S. Siddiq welcomed guests to Tajikistan, and briefly informed them about history and activity of NIAT “Khovar”.
Syed Khalid Amir Jaffery, in turn, informed about the activity of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies, in particular the relations of this Center with the Pakistani media, its cooperation with news agencies of the neighboring countries Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China, as well as about the Daily Herald Tribune.
The two parties discussed the issues of fruitful cooperation between the NIAT “Khovar” and the Associated Press of Pakistan /APP/.
The Pakistani CGSS representatives offered to sign a cooperation agreement between the Center and the NIAT “Khovar”. The Director of NIAT “Khovar” accepting this offer, noted that the draft agreement will be submitted to Pakistani side after preparing and agreeing with relevant ministries and agencies of Tajikistan.
The parties also discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation between NIAT “Khovar” and the Daily Herald Tribune.
The meeting was also attended by Executive Director of Center for Global and Strategic Studies of Pakistan Khalid Taimur Akram, Editor in Chief of Daily Herald Tribune, Member of Advisory Board of Center for Global and Strategic Studies of Pakistan Ghulam Akbar and representatives of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
We will recall that earlier this day Pakistani delegation visited the National Library of Tajikistan, the National Museum of Tajikistan, beautiful sites of Varzob district, as well as met with the leadership of the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Tomorrow, August 28, the Pakistani delegation will meet with Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Education and Science Nuriddin Said and President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Rahimi.
