Youth and Students of CIS and SCO countries gathered in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 30.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Yesterday, August 29, the International Festival of Youth and Students of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the motto “Tajikistan and Silk Road: History and Modernity” started in Dushanbe, reported NIAT “Khovar” correspondent Kholisai ASOMIDDIN, who takes part in the festival.
The Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is the main organizer of festival, which is attended by over 100 participants from the CIS and the SCO countries.
Early in the morning of August 29, the festival participants laid floral wreath at the monument of the founder of the first Tajik state Ismoili Somoni, and visited the National Library of Tajikistan, the Rudaki Park, the National Museum of Tajikistan, and then traveled to northern part of Tajikistan — Sughd province.
Participants visited Ayni district, Istaravshan and Guliston cities of Sughd province.
It should be noted that during the International Festival of Youth and Students of the CIS and SCO countries it is planned to hold an innovative exhibition, the presentation of works by young people from both organizations countries, the organization of a competitive exhibition “Springs — the pulse of life”.
The festival will last until September 1.
