DUSHANBE, 12.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Former member of the “Group 24” (banned in Tajikistan) Ismoil Kholov in his personal page on Facebook posted a video message accusing his former colleagues of cheating and deceit, appeals to the Tajik citizens, labor migrants abroad and regrets about what happened, recommends to make appropriate conclusions and to not get into the network of extremist organizations, including the “Group 24” and the Islamic renaissance party.

We publish the text of the appeal with insignificant reductions:

“Hello, brothers and dear audience!

I, Kholov Ismoil Kurbonkhon, was born in Bokhtar district, former active member of the “Group 24”. I currently live in Moscow. I want to give some explanations about this group.

In 2012, I was engaged in labor migration in Moscow. I lived on Lubninsky street. While playing football, I met a certain Husayn Ashurov. He told me: “Give me your mobile, I will include you in the “Group 24”.

I asked him: “What is this group, what does it do?”. He said: “This group corrects Tajikistan’s mistakes”. I unknowingly gave him my mobile. He said that he installed app of radio “Zello» in my phone. “Talk with them, find out what they want”, — he said. I unknowingly contacted them by radio “Zello”. They asked, I answered. They asked about a beard, a hijab, a mosque.

Once Husain Ashurov, who knew my password on “Odnoklassniki” /Classmates social network /, framed me on my personal page and disappeared from Moscow.

After a while I found Husain Ashurov and asked: “Why did you disgrace me? I had a normal job, a good salary, my wife and children did not starve”.

He said he deliberately framed me so that I could not break out of this group.

Then I said: “I am no longer a member of your group, do not pursue me”.

In 2015, I was released from prison, I regret what happened. I advise my compatriots not to fall for their tricks. Let my story be a lesson for you. I realized that the activities of the “Group 24” and the Islamic renaissance party are all lies and bluffs, they only use us for their purposes.

Dear compatriots, labor migrants, do not think that I made this video appeal under duress. No, I did it voluntarily, so this was a lesson for you”.
