Interest in the SCO is growing. Journalists of member states visited the SCO Headquarters in Beijing
DUSHANBE, 05.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 5, at the Headquarters of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing was held a meeting with journalists, as well as representatives of ministries and departments responsible for the media in the SCO “family” countries, NIAT “Khovar” correspondent Payrav QOSIM reports from Beijing.
Aizada Subakozhoeva, SCO Deputy Secretary-General told in detail about the current state of affairs in the Organization and the prospects for its development, the main results of the Qingdao summit. Comprehensive details on the ongoing work on information support of the SCO activities were voiced.
During the meeting, the guests received answers to the interested questions, and expressed their interest in working together to promote the goals and objectives of the SCO, the Strategy for its development until 2025. Representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Belarus suggested studying the possibility of establishing the SCO mass media, in particular, the TV channel, radio, electronic publications in the SCO “family” countries.
After the meeting, a short tour of the SCO headquarters took place.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Belarus.
We will recall that the meeting was held within the framework of the Seminar for media representatives of the SCO “family” countries, organized by the Education Center under the Office of the People’s Republic of China on publishing and distributing literature in foreign languages.
