President Emomali Rahmon receives Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group Keiji Furuya
DUSHANBE, 03.09.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Chairman of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group Keiji Furuya at the Government house.
The discussion focused on ways of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties and a potential contribution of the Parliamentary Friendship Group to the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.
President of the country Emomali Rahmon emphasized the contribution of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue to expand the range of cooperation in the interest of peoples of the member states.
The two sides noted with satisfaction the positive progress achieved in socio-economic areas, the implementation of previously reached agreements and joint projects.
The two sides reaffirmed their mutual resolve to further promote inter-parliamentary ties. They also shared their views on issues of mutual interest.
