DUSHANBE, 17.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. During the last few days NIAT “Khovar” regularly receives statements on behalf of employees of ministries and departments, organizations, associations and individuals. All of them pursue one goal — condemnation of slanderous statements of a group of persons in Warsaw, oppositional against our state, and adventurous actions of the leaders of the TEO IRP. These statements testify that the Tajiks, who have experienced the horrors of the civil war, know the price of peace and stability, will never allow anyone to draw the country into a new confrontation.

The statement of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan, in particular, says:

“Independence is an aspiration that Tajik writers have always cherished and fostered in their souls and thoughts, have always advocated and stand for the prosperity of the country and the assertion of high moral principles.

In other words, everything that they represented in the past has now become a real flesh, has become a reality. Therefore, the task of writers is to portray and magnify the achievements of independence with an inspired, highly artistic word, to promote the unity of the people in every possible way, and to enhance the image of independent Tajikistan at the international arena.

It is quite clear that the tremendous changes in our country, the leaps and bounds that move along the path of creation, the support of the overwhelming majority of the states of the world and authoritative international organizations of the global humanitarian initiatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Head of the sovereign Tajik state, who grew out of the masses, a land based on the wisdom of his fellow citizens and age-old national values, not to the liking of the so-called non-remembering kinship of the opposition.

True to their petty nature, the obscure renaissances again want to stir up the water, because it is easier to fish. But the most shameful is that they pretend to be victims and hysterically hide behind the veil of the sacred religion of Muslims, which the true believers and reasonable people in Tajikistan will never forgive them.

A wise Tajik proverb says: “The scorpion stings at the call of its interior”. It perfectly reflects the essence and meaning of the slanderous statements of runaway leaders of the banned renaissances party in Tajikistan, when they speak at any kind of conferences and symposia. It is bewildering and deeply disappointing that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, despite its name, mission and purpose, listens to and supports the evil-doers who are eager to see Tajikistan again in the fire of war, and this is a state that is a full member of all authoritative international organizations, including the OSCE.

The Board of the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan most categorically condemns the support of the dishonest clique of traitors to the Homeland — members of the banned party, which most countries and international organizations recognized as terrorist and extremist in the presence of irrefutable facts and evidence. We also propose that the issue of the two-faced OSCE position be considered in the most serious manner at a meeting of the heads of SCO member states in order to strengthen security and protect democratic norms and principles.»
