DUSHANBE, 04.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Tajikistan has been approved as the venue for another international tournament among women national teams. Following the qualifying rounds of 2019 Asian Women Junior (U-16) and Youth (U-19) Championships, Tajikistan will host the first qualifying round of the women football tournament of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in Group A. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

The first qualifying round of the football tournament of the 2020 Olympic Games in Group A to be held on November 4 – 13 in Dushanbe, along with the national women team of Tajikistan will also be attended by the teams of Chinese Taipei, the Philippines, Singapore and Mongolia.

Following the result of the first qualifying round, the winners and the teams that took the second place in each group, along with the two best third teams, will get berth to the second round, where automatically advanced the national teams of Vietnam and Uzbekistan.

We will recall that on September 15-23 in Dushanbe there will be a qualifying tournament of the 2019 Asian Women Junior Championship (U-16) in Group C, which will be attended by teams of Thailand, Iran, the Northern Mariana Islands, Singapore and Tajikistan.

Tajikistan will also host the qualifying tournament of the 2019 Asian Women Youth Championship (U-19). It will be attended by 4 teams — South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh and Tajikistan. The tournament will be held on October 24-28.
