While on a working trip to Khujand city, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has attended a ceremony to commission a new building of the Sughd region TV and Radio Broadcasting Centre.

Initially, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon launched TV Sughd channel broadcasting in new high precision HD format from the new studios.

The head of state Emomali Rahmon toured the production control room and met with the channel’s leadership and correspondents.

It was informed that construction work was carried out at a high level. The construction started in June 2018.

The two-storey building consists of twenty-four work rooms, four recording and production control rooms, nine sound editing rooms as well as other auxiliary rooms. The Sughd TV Channel is equipped with cutting-edge technological achievements.

Sughd regional TV Channel comprises 18-hour broadcasting in Tajik, Russian and Uzbek languages.

After that, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Khujand’s Ismoili Somoni Avenue and attended the opening ceremony of gymnasium No. 1 named after Mahmudkhoja Behbudi.

The school accommodates for 1280 students in two shifts, who are served by 70 teachers. The school is supplied with modern teaching aids.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon viewed conditions created at secondary school and held an open and sincere conversation with its students.

The three-storey school with basement comprises 68 classes, including 30 specialty classrooms, and its physics, chemistry andbiology labs offer modern teaching aids, as well as computer rooms are supplied with the electronic boards. Also, there are a teacher’s room and work rooms.

This educational institution also has a canteen for 120 seats, an assembly hall for 300 seats, a library, which contains more than 15 thousand textbooks and 5 thousand copies of fiction.

The gymnasium will carry out its activities in the socio-humanitarian direction; it will focus on the study of the native language and literature, Russian and English languages, history and law.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon announced that this gymnasium is to be named after Rahim Jalil.

After that, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon visited Sughd free economic zone (Sughd FEZ) and attended the inauguration of the Ariana Metal Plast enterprise, which manufactures bicycles, child’s toys and household goods.

The President was shown 36 types of products manufactured at the enterprise, including bicycles, child’s toys and household goods, in particular refrigerators, washing machines, as well as car spare parts or replacement parts.

The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon was informed that along with providing the domestic market, in the coming year, the products and goods of the enterprise will be exported abroad, in particular, to the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.
