Days of Tajikistan Culture took place in Baku
DUSHANBE, 01.11.2018 /NIAT Khovar/. Days of Tajikistan’s Culture took place in Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 30, 2018, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The event was held on the occasion of the announcement of 2018 as the Year of Tourism and Folk Crafts Development in Tajikistan.
The event was attended by over two hundred guests, including representatives of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), representatives of ministries and departments, the Azerbaijani elite, Heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of international and regional organizations accredited in the country, as well as scientists and cultural figures information, business, Tajik diaspora.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan Rustam Soli spoke about the country’s achievements over the years of independence under the leadership of President Emomali Rahmon, about his historical role in the development of Tajik statehood, revival, development and flourish of the cultural heritage of the Tajiks.
This event was aimed at supporting and developing national folk artisans, who for many centuries created unique works of art: fabrics, dishes, musical instruments, carpets, furniture, jewelry, and today continue to develop the traditions of their ancestors.
The event featured a show of national clothes: atlas, adras, gulduzi, chakan, Suzani, Kundal, folk instruments, folk songs and dances, paintings with fascinating patterns from different parts of Tajikistan, video materials about the tourism potential of the Republic of Tajikistan, folk songs and dancing, as well as a variety of dishes of national cuisine.
