DUSHANBE, 13.11.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of Shukurjon Zuhurov, Chairman of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Patrice Verchère, Chairman of France and Central Asia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, was held today, November 13 at the French National Assembly.

As the press secretary of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Muhammadato Sultonov reports, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations between Tajikistan and France, including inter-parliamentary ties.

Shukurjon Zuhurov and Patrice Verchère had an exchange of views on ways and means to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly through the exchanging visits of high-ranking representatives of Tajikistan and France.

“During the talk, the French side’s attention has been involved in the potential and possibilities of cooperation in the fields of security, energy, agriculture, transport and communication, tourism, education and culture. In this regard, the importance of expanding the legal framework of mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and France to enrich cooperation with specific content has been emphasized”,- added the source.

The two parties also had useful talk on the regional security, particularly Afghanistan.
