DUSHANBE, 26.11.2018. /NIAT «Khovar» /. “Current Time”, a joint project of Radio Liberty and Voice of America, has openly accused the Islamic renaissance party (IRP, banned in Tajikistan) of involvement in the murder of 4 tourists in the Danghara district for the first time. The video of the “Current Time” states that “attackers, on the instructions of their curator, an activist of the IRP Qori Nosir, had been looking for a large group of cyclists throughout Tajikistan for a long time”.

The report of “Current Time”, a joint project of Radio Liberty and Voice of America, with an interview with Hussein Abdusamadov (Nakhudov), the leader of the group, which killed four tourists from Western countries, was published on November 21, the day when the Supreme Court of Tajikistan has sentenced the only survivor of attackers to life imprisonment. Two more — Behruz Safoev and Karomatullo Ghaniev — received 16 years in prison for helping the terrorists, and another 12, mostly for not informing the authorities about preparing for a crime, were given from one to one and a half years of imprisonment.

The author, Andrey Tsyganov, says that there is Islamic renaissance party (banned in Tajikistan) behind the attack of July 29 in Dangara district, when 4 foreign tourists — cyclists from the USA, Holland, and Switzerland were killed: “The attackers on the instructions of their curator — activist of the IRP Qori Nosir had been looking for a large group of cyclists around Tajikistan for a long time. The witnesses prevented to finish off tourists”.

The author says that this was the first such attack in the country and the terrorists deliberately searched for foreigners in order to obtain the maximum response in the Year of Tourism Development, announced in Tajikistan and to reduce the image of Tajikistan in the world.

In the continuation, the report’s author says that Gulchehra Shodmonova, the mother of eight children blames the IRP leader Muhiddin Kabiri and Qori Nosir for that her younger son chose the path of terrorism instead of studying at the Commercial University.

We will recall that in the very first days of the Danghara terrorist act, the authorities of Tajikistan, including the General Prosecutor’s Office, have repeatedly accused the IRP of killing tourists, claiming that the video of the oath of the attackers to the ISIL leader was just a cover in order to put the investigation on the false trail.
