Dushanbe – Chanok Highway is Open
DUSHANBE, 10.12.2018 (NIAT Khovar) —Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the Dushanbe-Chanok highway connecting central and northern parts of Tajikistan is open. Trucks are temporarily prohibited to prevent traffic jams, reported the Press Center of Innovative Road Solutions (IRS).
IRS emphasizes that getting on the road unprepared for adverse weather conditions causes unnecessary traffic jams on the Dushanbe-Chanok highway.
Sharp temperature drops and snow is expected, reported the Committee on Emergency Situations and Civil Defense.
The State Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is calling on drivers to prepare their cars for winter weather conditions.
