Tajikistan to Introduce New Samples of Tajik Art to the UNESCO List
DUSHANBE, 27.12.2018 (NIAT Khovar) — The Minister of Culture of Tajikistan Shamsiddin Orumbekzoda met with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to France Jamoliddin Ubaydulloev today in Dushanbe to discuss the addition of the new samples of Tajik art to UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list.
The ambassador congratulated the minister of culture and all other cultural figures of the country with the inclusion of a sample of the national craft of the Tajik people, the embroidery art of Chakan in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, reported the Tajik Ministry of Culture.
Minister Orumbekzoda, in turn, noted that Tajikistan will continue to present its art at the highest level.
Following the meeting, the parties discussed the issues relating to the preparations for the high-level exhibition of historical artifacts of the Tajik people in the Paris Guimet Museum in 2019.
