DUSHANBE, 03.12.2018 / NIAT “Khovar”/. The women’s national football team of Tajikistan, having beaten the national team of Afghanistan in the final round of the CAFA Women’s Championship 2018 with the score – 5:0, won a bronze medal of the tournament, the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan reports.

The goals of the Tajik team were scored by Madina Fozilova (2), Shukronai Jumakhon (2), and Laylo Halimova.

Thus, the women’s team of Tajikistan became the bronze medalist of the championship for the countries participating in the Central Asian Football Association.

The winner of the tournament was the national team of Uzbekistan, which won in all four matches played. Silver medals went to the Iranian team. Football players of Kyrgyzstan took the fourth place. And the Afghan national team finished on the last, fifth line.

Following the end of the Tashkent CAFA Championship, the women’s team of Tajikistan, in addition to bronze medals, also received the honorary prize “Fair play” — an award to the most disciplined team of the tournament.
