Dushanbe’s New Year Tree is Taller Than the Tree in Moscow
DUSHANBE, 05.01.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The New Year tree installed in Dushanbe entered the top ten list of New Year trees in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The Russian analytical agency TurStat rated the New Year trees in the CIS countries, wherein the tree in Dushanbe was judged to be in the top ten.
The rating was made based on the results of the analysis of the height of the main New Year trees in the capitals of the CIS countries.
In its beauty and height, the New Year tree in Dushanbe surpassed the holiday trees in Moscow (27 meters), Astana (25 meters), Bishkek (25 meters) and Tbilisi (25 meters), reported TurStat.
The 28-meter tall New Year tree was installed in Dushanbe on December 10 and was the first to be installed in the Central Asian region. The current tree is two meters taller than last year’s tree.
