DUSHANBE, 17.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Mayor of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali held an extended meeting with the capital’s activists, during which the socio-economic development of Dushanbe in 2018 was discussed and tasks for 2019 were set.

Rustami Emomali pointed out the shortcomings in the education and the healthcare systems of the capital.  He instructed mayorial officials and the relevant structures of the capital to take effective measures to solve the problems in education, such as preventing crime among students of educational institutions, increasing the level of teachers’ professionalism, preventing the admission of non-specialists to education, preventing corruption, raising the level of education and training, and control of education in the schools of Dushanbe.

Mayor also noted the shortcomings in the capital’s healthcare system. Points of focus also included improving the professional level of healthcare workers, monitoring hygiene in social and service institutions, strengthening public awareness campaigns. In closing, he instructed the responsible parties to take necessary measures to take care of the mentioned issues in a timely manner.
