DUSHANBE, 04.01.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Olympic football team of Tajikistan (U-23) began the selection camp in Dushanbe this week.

The campis conducted as part of the preparation for the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship 2020, reported the Football Federation of Tajikistan.

The head coach UsmonToshev called on players who did not play in the Decembermatches against Oman and Bahrain to go through the selection process.

Following the camp, a team will be formed, which will take part in the 2019 Four Nations Tournament in Doha, Qatar. There, in the Aspire Academy, the Tajik Olympic team will be potted againstteams from Iran (January 15), Qatar (January 18) and Kuwait (January 21).

In the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship, which be held in Tashkent on March 22-26, Tajikistan will play in Group F against India (March 22), Pakistan (March 24) and Uzbekistan (March 26).

Following the qualifying tournament, 11 winners and four best teams ranked second place will advance to the Asian Championship to be held on January 8-26, 2018 in Thailand..

The three best teams of the Asian Championship 2020 will get tickets to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
